Heated cattle drinking trough
La Buvette MULTI TWIN EL 400 is a 400-litre heated group drinking trough for cattle. The set comprises one main trough and one additional trough. Its robust double-walled body is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). According to the manufacturer, 12–14 cows can drink simultaneously.
Electric frost protection
Five 80 W heating elements beneath the trough and inside the service compartment protect the trough, valves and water supply from freezing. Total power is 400 W at 24 V.
A separately ordered 230/24 V transformer is required. The La Buvette A502 400 VA transformer is suitable for one 400 W trough and is listed under related products.
High flow rate and modular design
Two float valves beneath a protective cover maintain a constant water level and deliver a combined 64 l/min at 3 bar. A ¾″ stainless steel braided connection hose is included.
A watertight flexible bellows joint connects the troughs; ring clamps are included. The modular system can be extended with additional troughs. The optional A384 third float valve increases flow to 96 l/min from 3 bar. It can also supply lukewarm water from a milk pre-cooler.
Cleaning and installation
Each trough has a 10 cm drain opening for quick emptying. The valves can be accessed without tools. Install the trough on a concrete base at least 20 cm high and connect it as instructed by the manufacturer.
