Non-electric frost-free drinker La Buvette THERMOLAC 75 GV is a 75-litre waterer with two insulated drinking balls for cattle and horses. The manufacturer rates it for up to 30 large cattle, indoors or outdoors.
Insulation based on the thermos principle
The double-walled HDPE body and both balls are insulated with polyurethane foam. No electric heating or transformer is required. The manufacturer states water temperatures of about 3–5 °C in winter and 10–12 °C in summer.
Frost protection and installation conditions
The manufacturer declares frost protection down to −30 °C with correct installation and sufficient water turnover. For optimal frost protection, the installation manual recommends at least 10 cattle per THERMOLAC 75. Install the water connection and pipe insulation according to the manual.
- A float valve maintains a constant water level.
- Stainless steel braided hose, insulating jacket and ground insulation included.
- Two insulated 10 cm drain plugs allow emptying in about 15 seconds, according to the manufacturer.
- The lid opens quickly and fully for cleaning.
